HOW | SHOWING THE MAKING: VISUAL RADIO PLAYS

A third component of The Centre’s investigation into Visual Radio Plays was HOW | Showing the Making.

As its title suggests, HOW | Showing the Making reveals the approaches, strategies and methods employed by artists in the creation of their work. It provides audiences with the opportunity to witness how art is made, giving insight into the thinking, inspiration and techniques that shape it.

For On Air: Visual Radio Plays, the HOW sees Neo Muyanga alongside writers, performers, scenographers and sound designers from the project, taking the audience through the process of staging a sonic play in a visual manner.

Muyanga also speaks to his current interest in discovering what changes in the act of storytelling when we proceed from a dramaturgy of sound.

Ultimately, the HOW is a window into process, offering the possibility for a deepened understanding and nuanced appreciation of the Visual Radio Plays project.
