As of 2024, The Centre for the Less Good Idea’s programming in Johannesburg is led by our Impresario for the Less Good Idea, Neo Muyanga. Together with The Centre’s core team, Muyanga develops and implements a unique performative series within our spaces, titled Collations.

Collations is a short, focused series of performance-based events curated around a central theme, method or point of interest. Exploring modes of performance such as radio plays and silent films in collaborative and experimental ways, Muyanga’s interest is in exploring a dramaturgy of sound and a contemporary aurality.

To date, The Centre has produced four of these programmes, with the first three going on to form part of Season 11 in November 2025.
