Taking place 24 - 28 April 2019
Programmes starting at 6:30 and 8pm daily
Themba Albert Mkhoma is a performer, writer, teacher and drama therapist.
With a strong grounding in both drama therapy and applied theatre, Mkhoma is interested in the ways in which collective cultural memory informs the process when artists and performers come together to create a singular narrative comprised of various different narratives and lived experiences. During his time with The Centre for the Less Good Idea, Mkhoma is also interested in experimenting outside of his comfort zone in order to explore the freedom that comes with applying one’s self to a lesser-known practice.
Season 5 sees Mkhoma venturing into the realms of dance and physicality, while also collaborating with a number of artists to produce work for both the VR 360 films as well as 11-minute epics. Through these works he will be tackling the concepts of courage, loss, yearning, and more.
