Taking place 24 - 28 April 2019
Programmes starting at 6:30 and 8pm daily
Bongile Gorata Lecoge-Zulu is an actor, writer, and flautist who studied music at the University of Witswatersrand.
For Lecoge-Zulu, creativity has always been a safe and liberating space and one that she’s found herself in since a young age. After struggling to decide between music and theatre, she eventually opted to study towards a degree in music, but later pursued a Masters degree exploring the intersections of music and theatre. This merging of musical and theatrical performance is something that she continued to explore during the workshopping sessions of Season 5 of The Centre for the Less Good Idea.
For Season 5, Lecoge-Zulu will be exploring the themes of ‘un-performing the performance’, the musicality of monologues, and will also be lending her skills as a flautist to a number of pieces across the Season.
